One day in Sabang

Hello my blog-followers..

Before I start my blog, well I write it on Xmas day so I wanna wish you Merry Christmas and hope all of you have a wonderful day.

This time I would like to share my experience when I was going to Sabang. It is a name of a place in Indonesia which is known as the northernmost and westernmost city in Indonesia.*

Sabang has a wonderful beach, well I m not sure about the name of the beach, however I will share the pictures to you guys..let you also admire the beauty of the beach.

How is it my fellow readers...? very beautiful beach indeed. It is very relaxing surrounding with blue sky and the clean, transparent water...what could I ask for more?...

So , I guess I have to stop here now..hopefully these pics can soothing your mood, give you peace of mind...

Magniworld of Jogjakarta 2011

Dear my followers,

Quiet a while since my last posting. Anyway, to refresh the new page I brought for you some special event. I was lucky enough to get some shoots for this "Jogja Java Carnival 2011--Magniworld" . This events was held on 22nd October 2011 and it was a celebration for the 255th of Jogjakarta (7 October). I believed that this kind of celebration is the 1st time held in Indonesia.

With the mix of advanced technology, creative designed, amazing costumes plus the participation of everybody around the world made this celebration become SPECTACULAR.

Cambodia The Kingdom of Wonder

Good to be back...

Well, long time no see guys..I m back with new, amazing, beautiful story-travelling journey that I did on June. Yes, Cambodia. This place is really really amazing with its nature, building and history. In this blog I'll try to summaries about what I did in Cambodia and of course, some of them will be told by pictures (^.^) .

I visited Siem Reap which is famous of its Angkor Wat and Phnom Penh which is the capital of Cambodia. The Angkor Wat itself is so wonderful, there are also many temples scattered around it. You can find many "tuk tuk" in Cambodia and I used it mostly when I was in Cambodia though. For snack.. you should try the fried insects; Yes..fried insects. there are many range from cockroach, grasshopper, frog, snake, spider, ants, and many more insect that I m not familiar with.

In Phnom Penh, you will be amazed by the unique structure of the royal palace building. However, those of you that like history, you have to visit Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum. It tells about the Khmer Rouge where a lot of innocent people were being killed.

Moreover, you usually will use US$ for buying things and the most important in some places you have to use your bargain skill to get cheap goods--I like it...hahahah

Yeah...R U ready? I will take u guys visiting Australian Zoo in Sunshine Coast.

Before We enter the entrance, here some information about Australian Zoo that You guys should know..

Australian Zoo is a 76-acre (31 ha) zoo located in the Australian state of Queensland on the Sunshine Coast near Beerwah / Glass House Mountains. It is a member of the Zoo and Aquarium Association (ZAA) and is owned by Terri Irwin, the widow of Steve Irwin, whose wildlife documentary series The Crocodile Hunter made the zoo a popular tourist attraction. *

Merapi Volcano--Central Java, Indonesia

Hello again my fellow readers..

It's good to be back. it has been a while since my last post.
Hope that I'm back with a good story (^^)

This time I will bring it the incident of Merapi eruption in October 2010 last year.
I 've been there for some donation activities and I also managed capturing some pictures of the refugees and the condition in the evacuation's site.

Before I put some pics, here some basic information about Merapi Volcano.

Merapi is the youngest in a group of volcanoes in southern Java. Typically, small eruptions occur every two to three years, and larger ones every 10–15 years or so. In addition, Merapi is very important to Javanese, especially those living around its crater. As such, there are many myths and beliefs attached to Merapi.*

On 25 October 2010 the Indonesian government raised the alert for Mount Merapi to its highest level (4) and warned villagers in threatened areas to move to safer ground. People living within a 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) zone were told to evacuate. The evacuation orders affected at least 19,000 people; however, the number that complied at the time remained unclear to authorities.*

It's a tense , touching, and wonderful experience to be around them. Some old woman told me when she went back to her house in a slope of the mountain which was dangerous at that moment, she heard the mountain rumbled and about to vomit the hot lava and ash. She had to run and run and run to save her life. She also said that now she often had a nightmare because of that incident. What I could do was to console and comfort her as best that I could.

Before I forget, we had to wear mask and safety goggle to prevent the ash particles go inside your lungs and eyes.

Ramayana Dance -- Prambanan Temple Yogyakarta

Hi readers,

It's been quiet long time since ma last posting, it was due on my broken lappie.
Anyway, I got my lappie back and yeah I m about to write my recent story.
It's about Ramayana Dance which was performed in Prambanan Temple-- Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

I was invited by entrepreneurship organisation which involve ambassadors around the world.
The venue was in Prambanan Temple with special performance of Ramayana Dance.

The Ramayana is one of the two great epics of India. It depicts the duties of relationships, portraying ideal characters like the ideal servant, the ideal brother, the ideal wife and the ideal king.

It tells the story of Rama whose wife Sita is abducted by the demon king of Lanka, Ravana.

In this Ramayan Dance, the main characters are: Rama, Sita, Hanuman and Ravana.

Rama is the hero of the tale. Portrayed as the seventh incarnation of the God Vishnu, he is the eldest and favorite son of the King of Ayodhya, Dasharatha, and his wife Kausalya. He is portrayed as the epitome of virtue.

Sita is the beloved wife of Rama and the daughter of king Janaka. She is the incarnation of Goddes Lakshmi, the consort of Vishnu.

Sita is portrayed as the epitome of female purity and virtue. She follows her husband into exile and is abducted by Ravana. She is imprisoned on the island of Lanka until Rama rescues her by defeating the demon king Ravana.

Hanuman is a vanara belonging to the kingdom of Kishkindha. He is portrayed as the eleventh incarnation of God Shiva (He is also called Rudra) and an ideal bhakta of Rama. He is born as the son of Kesari, a vanara king, and the Goddess Anjana. He plays an important part in locating Sita and in the ensuing battle.

Ravana, a rakshasa, is the king of Lanka. After performing severe penance for ten thousand years he received a boon from the creator-God Brahma: he could henceforth not be killed by Gods, demons, or spirits. He is portrayed as a powerful demon king who disturbs the penances of Rishis. Vishnu incarnates as the human Rama to defeat him, thus circumventing the boon given by Brahma.

However, the end of story, the goodness always win. Hanuman is successfully helping Sita to escape from Ravana.

Hanuman burn the Ravana kingdom, it becomes a sea of fire.

All the audiences stood up and gave very big applauses for the fabulous performance.

In this chance, I want to introduce to you all the amazing things that Yogyakarta have. Yup, Yogyakarta is very rich of culture and history .

It is renowned as a centre of classical Javanese fine art and culture such as batik, ballet, drama, music, poetry, and puppet shows.

The area of the city of Yogyakarta is 32.5 km². While the city spreads in all directions from the kraton (the Sultan's palace), the core of the modern city is to the north, centring around Dutch colonial-era buildings and the commercial district.

Jalan Malioboro, with rows of pavement vendors and nearby market and malls, is the primary shopping street for tourists in the city. At the southern end of Malioboro, on the east side is the large local market of Beringharjo, not far from Fort Vredeburg a restored Dutch fort.

Shrine of Remembrance-- Melbourne

Dear Readers,

As on previous page I talked about the beautifulness of Royal Botanic Gardens, in this page I will talk about the greatness of Shrine of Remembrance which is only located a short block to Royal Botanic Gardens.

The Shrine of Remembrance, located in Kings Domain on St Kilda Road, Melbourne, Australia was built as a memorial to the men and women of Victoria who served in World War I and is now a memorial to all Australians who have served in war.
It is a site of annual observances of ANZAC DAY (25 April) and Remembrance Day (11 November) and is one of the largest war memorial in Australia. *

The building complex is huge. We can enter the building and mesmerize the history written there.
Inside the Shrine is the Sanctuary, a high vaulted space entered by four tall portals of Classical design .

At the centre of the Sanctuary is the Stone of Remembrance.

This is a marble stone sunk below the pavement, so that visitors must bow their heads to read the inscription on it: GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN

Overall, this Shrine of Remembrance is recommended to be visited.

Royal Botanic Garden--Melbourne

Dear the Reader of YS World blog..How R you?? well yeah I hope You are all fine.

This page I will write about the beautiful of Royal Botanic Garden in Melbourne.
It is located near the center of Melbourne on the south bank of the Yarra River.
They are 38 hectares of landscaped gardens consisting of a mix of native and non-native vegetation including over 10,000 individual species. It is among the best in the world too.

I like to spend my spare time by just walking around the Botanic Garden. It is so relaxing after the 5-days work.
They have very smoothing nice view, variety and colorful flowers..breezing wind and a quiet space .

Christmas time at Ivanhoe--Melbourne

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year my friends

Rolling back to past view years where I spent Xmas in Melbourne, Australia.

My friends brought me to visit this suburb called Ivanhoe. They said that every Xmas time, there will be a lot of Xmas spirit such as Xmas tree, Xmas lamp and of course Xmas present.

After arriving at Ivanhoe, I discovered that night a lot of people came to enjoy Xmas spirit which presented by each house in Ivanhoe.

How is it guys? Very beautiful isn't it? yup, I will go back there again if I have to spend my Xmas in Melbourne :D

China--He Yuan and Surrounding

Ni Hao Ma? yup, I spent about 10 days in China this time.

Started the journey from HE YUAN (河源), well short introduction about He Yuan, is located in the north-east region of Guang Dong, upper reach of Dongjiang (the East River).

Anyway, I attended HAKKA's Bday in He Yuan which were attended by people around the world. It such a very big event.

After that , I continued to Mei Zhou (梅州) by bus from He Yuan, it took around 2-3 hours. One of the place that visit while i was in Mei Zhou was "Li Guang Shi" , it is a famous temple.

Move on by bus, I stopped at Meixian（梅县) where there have Tu Lou. It have been inscribed in 2008 by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

I visited Hakka walled village or it is well-known by name of TU LOU (土楼) It is a large multi-family communal living structure that is designed to be easily defensible and consist of one entrance and no windows at the ground level.

After mesmerizing the Tuo Luo, I continued my journey to Long Yuan and I visited this cave named " Long Kong Dong".Beautiful cave decorated by a lot of amazing stalactites.

My list of visit is also included Gu Lang Yu Island . Gulangyu "Drum Wave Islet" is a car free island off the coast of Xiamen, Fujian province in southern China. Visitors can reach it by ferry from Xiamen Island in about 5 minutes.

Gulangyu is famous for its architecture and for hosting China's only piano museum, giving it the nickname of "Piano Island" or "The Town of Pianos" (鋼琴之鄉) or "The Island of Music" (音樂之島). There are over 200 pianos on this island.

Well yeah...I end my trip in Shen Zhen and took a ferry to Hong Kong. Although, still many of pictures that I took in the trip , I have to end this chapter and move on to another page..:D

Medan Indonesia

On 20th June 2009, it's Medan time for me.

Medan is the capital of the North Sumatra province in Indonesia.

Located on the northern coast, Medan is the fourth largest city in Indonesia, and the largest Indonesian city outside Java.

The city has a diverse communities. It is famous throughout Indonesia as the home of the Batak people, although, traditionally it is a Malay Kampong.

A highly visible component of Medan's population is the large number of Chinese, who are mostly to speak Hokkien.

It has a famous lake called Lake Toba. It is a lake and supervolcano, 100 kilometres long and 30 kilometres wide.

Most of the people who live around Lake Toba are ethnically BATAKS. Traditional Batak houses are noted for their distinctive roofs (which curve upwards at each end, as a boat's hull does) and their colorful decor.

I spent my 2009 Xmas and New Year holiday in Tasmania with my sis and brother.

My Good friend finally found her Mr. Right. I am so happy for both of them.

I was invited to this occasion to capture & witness all these perfects thing; yup..they are getting engaged.

With beautiful red dress code, fresh happiness smile and laugh , they have made Me feel their happiness too..*speechless*.....I m so happy for both of them.

May be you guys will ask , Why it has to be in RED? Well it is believe that in China, red is the color of good luck and is used as a holiday and wedding color.

Yeah, this beautiful young girl named Sarah has grew up. She was 9th years old on 24th May 2009.

She is just too sweet with her brown-ish color hair...and look all her fabulous friends who are also celebrate her Bday..

It's just so PERFECT .
